Blackjack Tournament Rules

Tournament rules vary by event, but competitors generally receive equal chip stacks, play a specified number of hands, and advance according to bankroll position. Betting limits, elimination hands, secret bets and tie-breaking procedures depend on the tournament.

Before playing

• Confirm the starting bankroll and betting limits.
• Check how many players advance.
• Know the number of hands and any elimination points.
• Understand blackjack, surrender, splitting, doubling and insurance rules used by the event.
